The Career Centres operated by Caritas Sofia in Sofia, Burgas and Harmanli work to help refugees from Ukraine and other countries of origin.

The Career Centres employ a highly qualified team of specialists and social assistants, with established solid contacts and partnerships with many employers from different companies, businesses and independent sites, which facilitates finding good solutions for the beneficiaries.

The main services are:

• Information and counselling:
  CV preparation, interview preparation, terms of Bulgarian legislation, employment rights and obligations, diploma equalization support, etc. If necessary, they are accompanied to various municipal or state institutions.
• Preparation of an individual plan
• Bulgarian language courses for foreigners (children and adults)
• Entrepreneurship and starting your own business: information and advice
• Vocational training
• Social mediation: Accompaniment to various municipal and state institutions.
  • Assistance for registration with a family doctor, accompaniment to medical facilities
  • Psychosocial support for women
  • Informal education for refugee children enrolled in Bulgarian schools

Labour mediation and social integration services are managed by Caritas Sofia in the cities of Sofia, Burgas and Harmanli.

The project "Bulgarian language for people from all over the world" was created with the financial support of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, co-financed by the European Union.

All third-country nationals, asylum seekers and refugees in Bulgaria are entitled to participate in the free courses.
