
Integration and Information Centre for Refugees of the Bulgarian Red Cross in Sofia
The Refugee Integration and Information Centre of the Bulgarian Red Cross offers the following services:
- Inclusion in Bulgarian language classes in accordance with the European Language Framework - A1, A2, B1 and B (Only the certificates issued by the BRC for a successful exam in Bulgarian language, level B1, are accepted when applying for Bulgarian citizenship)).
- Assistance in enrolling in Bulgarian schools and kindergartens
- Assistance in finding suitable employment and meeting potential employers
- Assistance in applying for identity documents
- Assistance in applying and submitting documents for Bulgarian citizenship
- Assistance in finding accommodation
- Assistance in obtaining medical care (registering with a GP /general practitioner/, applying for health insurance, covering the cost of health services, medicines, and translation during medical examinations)
- Translation and legalisation of documents
- Provision of humanitarian assistance (depending on available resources)
- Visits to historical and cultural sites in Bulgaria, as well as involvement in joint events with the host society
- Providing information sessions on topics of importance to refugees
- Providing a lecture on "Adaptation and Integration of Refugee Women in Bulgaria"
- Weekly activities with children in the "Arts Club"
- Providing informal training in conversational English for advanced learners
- Providing therapeutic groups with the participation of a psychologist of the Bulgarian Red Cross
Working hours with beneficiaries from: 08.30 to 17.00, Monday to Friday
