Comprehensive support for refugees and refugee-led organisations
The Council of Refugee Women in Bulgaria provides comprehensive support to refugees, asylum seekers and persons with temporary protection in Sofia. It includes the following main areas:
- Analysis: conducting research on the individual needs and attitudes of refugees as well as the needs of refugee-led organisations. This includes mapping leadership and structures in these organizations.
- Training: standard procedures for accessing services are developed and implemented. Adaptation and civic orientation programmes are conducted. Methodological support and training is provided to refugee-led organisations, including access to good working practices and advocacy. Organisation of trainings for community volunteers.
- Support: providing psychosocial support to vulnerable groups of refugees, ensuring their access to health, education, legal and social services. A community protection system is being established which includes working with partner organisations and support programmes.
- Mentoring: providing a mentoring programme for refugee-led organisations aimed at strengthening their internal organisational structure. Standard operating procedures are being developed to access activities.
- Humanitarian action: providing tailored assistance to beneficiaries, focusing on vulnerable groups
